Vail

Originally a Ranching Community, Vail, is now North America�s largest and most popular ski destination.

Comprising 5,289 skiable acres and 33 lifts.

A favorite saying in the Vail Valley, �You come for the winter, but you stay for the summer�.

Vail has the largest free transit system of any where in the nation.

The county is comprised of over ten separate towns and unincorporated communities. Avon, Arrowhead, Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch, Eagle,Eagle-Vail, Edwards, Gypsum, Minturn, Vail, and Wolcott. Together they are known as the Vail Valley, each with its own small-town ambiance and flavor.

The Vail Valley can be described as the ideal place to live with a balanceof recreation, incredible amenities and a beautiful small town environment surrounded with mountain vistas of the Gore Range, and the summers a blaze of color from fields of wild flowers.

In the 2000 census, Eagle County had a population of over 40,000. There is a diverse culture comprised of many nationalities.

Beaver Creek

Avon

Named after Shakespeare�s, Stratford upon Avon.

Avon is centered around Nottingham Lake and Park with 48 acres of openspace, athletic fields, playground, picnic tables, walking paths,tennis & volleyball courts.

Avon has more affordable housing then many areas in the valley. It also hasmany shops, restaurants, post office, medical and professional offices.

Avon is the gateway to Beaver Creek and Bachlor Gulch.

Edwards
Elevation 7,226� Population 8,500�

Gorgeous views in every direction, a temperate climate and a charm that makes Edwards a unique community to call home.

Edwards has experienced a lot of growth that has allowed residents many housing opportunities, the quaint Riverwalk Business Center with many retail shops and restaurants.

A medical Center, the Shaw Cancer & Research Center and Post Office.

The National Forest surrounds Edwards to afford the opportunity for endless outdoor recreation.

Wolcott & Red Sky Ranch

7 miles west of Edwards on Interstate 70. This is a picturesque mountain town situated on the Eagle River.

Eagle
